Just when I wanted to photograph the black convertible ‘Snoek’ (a Dutch nickname for the old Citroen DS, meaning pike), this very large, bold and slender man -into his long black leather coat- came along.

For the inside cover of an album by Joe the Prang’d on Notes of Exclamations I wanted to use a photograph of a gravestone. Therefore I visited -alone, in silence, between so many people- several graveyards and made more beautiful sober photos than strictly necessary.
